The Academy of Real Assets has launched its 2025 Creative Competition, inviting students from UK state schools to submit original essays on the theme: “If I Could Build My Neighbourhood from Scratch…”. The initiative aims to inspire young people to explore real estate, urban planning, and community development through creative storytelling.
Now in its latest edition, the competition provides students with a unique platform to engage with the built environment while developing their writing and analytical skills. Winning entries will be published in a book distributed to 3,000 schools, leading real estate firms, universities, and media outlets.
The Academy also plans to expand the competition beyond written essays, incorporating visual and digital formats such as photography, art, and video to encourage broader participation.
A book launch event celebrating the winners will take place on 15 July 2025 at a member’s office, bringing together students, educators, and industry professionals.
Teachers, students, and career coordinators can register their interest and access competition materials through The Academy’s website.
